Barocca is a brand-new Baroque music ensemble combining four immensely talented musicians associated with the New Zealand School of Music. They will be presenting "A Baroque Dawn to Dusk".

Emma Goodbehere studied both Baroque and modern cello at Victoria University where she gained a B.Mus with Honours in 2005. She then undertook postgraduate studies at The Royal Conservatory in The Hague.

Australian-born Erin Helyard completed his Masters in 2005 in fortepiano performance at McGill University, Montreal and then completed a PhD in musicology at the same institution in 2011. He is currently lecturer in Period Performance at the New Zealand School of Music.

Kamala Bain is a recorder performance graduate of both the University of Auckland and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. She is an artist teacher at the New Zealand School of Music and also teaches privately.

Rowena Simpson gained a Masters degree in singing at The Royal Conservatory. Since her return in 2006 she has performed with most of NZ’s Baroque ensembles as well as Voices New Zealand Chamber Choir and the Chapman Tripp Opera Chorus.

The programme includes compositions by Couperin, Pinel, Vivaldi, Pergolesi, Rameau, Caldra, Vitali and Handel.
