La Belle Alliance (2011)
Tessa Peterson graduated from Otago University and afterwards received a scholarship to study at the Royal College of Music with Levon Chilingirian. She has led the NZ Youth Orchestra and played with a number of chamber orchestras in UK and USA and has participated in many music festivals while overseas. She has been in demand as an orchestral player, chamber player, concertmaster, recitalist and teacher. Tessa is currently lecturer in violin at the University of Otago.John van Buskirk, from the USA, graduated from the Eastman School of Music and Juilliard School. He has played as a recitalist, chamber music player and accompanied many well known orchestras in America. He has performed in Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Centre and Wigmore Hall as well as broadcasting and recording. Since re-locating to NZ he has played with his wife Tessa Peterson in La Belle Alliance and with a number of NZ artists and is a tutor at Otago University.
The duo will play pieces by Bach, Mendelssohn, Pruden, Ritchie, Ma Sicong and Liszt.
