TORU is a new Wellington-based trio consisting of three principal players from Orchestra Wellington.

Debussy popularised this combination of flute, viola and harp with his Sonate en Trio; its magnificently varied timbral palette has since captured the imaginations of composers, performers and audiences alike.

All members of the Trio have performed in NZ and overseas with leading orchestras including the NZSO as well as playing with many groups and in solo performances.

TORU will be playing works by Debussy, Arnold Bax, Tabea Squire and Beethoven (arr. Maayani).
